Coconut Chutney


Ingredients:
Coconut (grated or powder) - 1 cup
Green chillies - 8
Garlic clove - 1
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Fried grams - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 5 stalks
Tamarind paste - 1/4 tsp
Salt for taste




For Tadka
Oil - 1tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Channa Dal - 2 tsp
Curry leaves - 5
Red chilli - 2

Directions
1. Blend all the items under ingredients list with enough water to get a thick consistency and a rough texture.

2. Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard when it is hot.

3. Add channa dal and fry until it turns light brown.

4. Add curry leaves and red chilli and fry for 30 secs.


5. Add this tadka mixture to the chutney.

6. Serve chutney with iddli, dose or rotis.
